Beaches Las Terrenas

If you are on holiday in Las Terrenas and just turn around and look you will already see the beach. The most beautiful beaches of the Caribbean are practically on your doorstep. In total, there is approximately 42 kilometres of virgin white sandy beaches that run through and passed the village of Las Terrenas.

If it is privacy you desire you can choose the tranquil areas such as Playa Coson where you could just as well be all alone or you can choose the busier beaches such as Playa Bonita or Punta Popy if it is people you are looking for. The reefs just off the coastline ensure there are no dangerous currents and you can swim, surf, kite surf until your hearts content or just lie on the beach either in the shade of a palm tree or not. The sea temperature is always a pleasant 25 degrees or thereabouts. Las Terrenas has a surf school, a scuba diving center, a sailing club and a place where you can rent a horse to ride along the beach. Especially the beach of playa Coson, with it’s great waves is perfect for surfers.
